Maria Del Socorro Moreno, 79, died Friday June 7, 2019 at her home in Finney County, Kansas. She was born on June 27, 1939 in Durango, Mexico the daughter of Manuel & Beatriz (Hernandez) Arevalo. She married Ramon Moreno Soto in Durango, Mexico in 1955. He died November 2, 2006.In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents-Manuel and Beatriz Arevalo, children- Manuel Moreno and Agustin Moreno, grandchildren-Juan Carlos Moreno and Manuel Omar Moreno & siblings- Pedro Arevalo Hernandez, Benigno Arevalo Hernandez, Crecencio Arevalo Hernandez and Jose de la Luz Arevalo Hernandez.
Survivors include her children-Olympia Moreno of Garden City, Carmen Moreno of El Paso, Texas, Juan Antonio Moreno of Juarez, Mexico, Luz Maria Moreno of Durango, Mexico, Maria Moreno of Garden City, Kansas, Rosalina Moreno of Nixa, Missouri and Susana Moreno of Fort Riley, Kansas; 26 Grandchildren; 44 Great Grandchildren & sibling- Guadalupe Arrevalo Hernandez of Durango, Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 12:00- 4:00 pm Sunday June 9, 2019 at Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th Street, Garden City. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
