The Corps of Engineers has scheduled a public meeting next Wednesday evening, May 29th at the Geary County 4-H / Senior Center from 6-7:30 p.m.

The Project Manager for the Corps at Milford Lake, Bill Whitworth, explained there are two primary points that will be addressed. “Some of the district folks that deal with coordinating dam releases and deciding who releases what will be there to give that broad perspective to the people, and help them understand how all that works. And of course, I’ll be there to start the meeting with a Milford specific update.”

Whitworth noted the meeting should address an area of concern which is “why is the lake not releasing any water?”
