JUNCTION CITY, KAN – It all started with a dream to care for others and improve the health of the community.  Five years later, that dream is a thriving reality for Sue and John Kollhoff, owners of Kollhoff Pharmacy.

“Pharmacy ownership was always our plan, and when the opportunity presented itself in Junction City, we went for it,” John explained.  “We felt there was a need for more personal pharmacy care and we were excited to provide that.” In addition to traditional prescriptions, Kollhoff pharmacy provides specialty compounding services, immunizations, individualized medication consultations, and prescription pill packaging.

Kollhoff Pharmacy recently completed an extensive building (remodel to better serve patients.  “We added a drive-thru, a private consultation room, and opened up the retail area,” John said.  “We moved our dispensing area so we can greet you as you walk in the door. Our goal is to provide an exceptional pharmacy experience.”

John and Sue also believe in giving back to the community.  “Our first month in business, we donated $1 to Delivering Change for every prescription filled,” Sue said.  We donated over $1635 to Delivering Change that month. Over the last 5 years, Sue estimates the pharmacy has donated over $40,000 to organizations in Geary County.  “There are some really positive things happening in the community and we are excited to help.”

John, Sue, and the rest of Kollhoff Pharmacy staff are excited for the future of Kollhoff Pharmacy.  “We continue to look for new opportunities to serve our community. We care about the health and wellness of area residents and we want to develop programs that improve health outcomes.  Through our pharmacy services, healthcare collaboration, and community involvement, we hope to make a difference in the life of every Geary County resident in the years to come.”

Kollhoff Pharmacy was opened in 2014 by pharmacists Sue and John Kollhoff. As the only family-owned retail and compounding pharmacy in the area, they are able to offer exceptional customer care.
