The Junction City Blue Jays will meet Liberal in the first round of a Class 6A Regional baseball tournament next Wednesday, may 15th at 3:30 p.m. at Wichita-Haysville Campus.

There will be a play-in game for that tournament between Topeka High and Wichita Southeast on Monday in Topeka. The winner will advance to meet the top seed, Haysville Campus, 16-1, on Wednesday 2 p.m. The championship game of the tournament will be played at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Haysville Campus.

The Junction City Lady Jay softball team ( 4-12 ) meets Topeka High ( 14-3 ) in the first round of a Class 6A softball substate tournament at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka. The other half of the bracket finds Garden City playing Wichita South. The championship game is scheduled at 6 p.m. Thursday at Hummer Sports Park.
