The Chapman Irish ( 19-5 ) were defeated by Augusta ( 18-6 ) 46-40 in the semifinal round of the Class 4A Boys State Basketball Tournament in Salina Friday night. The other semifinal game saw Kansas City Piper defeat Wichita-Trinity Academy 57-54.

Chapman will play in the third place consolation game of the tournament against Wichita-Trinity Academy at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center at 2 p.m. Saturday.
