SIx Junction City Blue Jay wrestlers will compete in the Class 6A State Tournament on Friday and Saturday at Hartman Arena in Park City.

The opening ceremonies involving the Parade of Athletes begin at 9:45 a.m. Competition begins at 10 a.m.The tournament will resume Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

Wrestling at state for the Blue Jays are Terrance Adeleye at 195 pounds, C.J. Neuman at 152, Matthew Whitton 138 pounds, Zane Thornton 126, Sadiki Smith at 170 pounds and Blayne Danford at 120 pounds.

For Blue Jay head coach Bob Laster this will be his final tournament in the capacity. He is retiring at the end of the school year. Laster missed the regional tournament last week due to illness, but has returned and will be coaching this week.
