The Junction City Blue Jay boys basketball team ( 10-8 ) will play at Lawrence Free State ( 13-6 ) in round one of their Class 6A Substate Basketball Tournament Wednesday, February 27th. The other half of the bracket finds top seeded Topeka High ( 18-2 ) hosting the winner of a Saturday February 23rd play-in game between Derby and Wichita North.

The championship game will be Friday, March 1st on the court of the higher seeded team.

The Junction City Lady Jays ( 0-18 ) will play at Wichita West ( 3-17 ) on Monday February 25th at 6 p.m. in a play-in game for their Class 6A substate. The winner will advance into the four-team substate bracket against the top seed, Liberal on Thursday, February 28th in Liberal. The other side of the bracket finds Garden City playing Lawrence State. The tournament championship game will be Saturday, March 2nd on the court of the higher seeded team.
