The Junction City Blue Jays finished 9th out of 18 teams in the Garden City wrestling regional on Saturday. Junction City scored 73 points while first place Derby finished with 229.5. Manhattan was second with a score of 220.5 points.

For the Blue Jays, Terrance Adeleye finished fifth at 195 pounds and C.J. Neuman 5th at 152 pounds. Matthew Whitton of Junction City finished sixth at 138 pounds while Zane Thornton was sixth at 126 points. Sadiki Smith was 8th at 170 pounds and Blayne Danford 8th at 120 pounds. All of those wrestlers have qualified for the Class 6A State Tournament next Friday and Saturday in Park City.
