The Geary County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday resumed normal accident reporting following Friday’s snowfall.

A check of the JCPD Tour Log shows police officers reported two injury accidents Friday including one on eastbound I-70 at mile marker 296 near the south side of Junction City, and a second one at 700 South Washington Street. Police also reported six non-injury accidents.

Snow fell across the area on Friday. Geary County Extension Agent Chuck Otte reported that the total snowfall was 1.6 inches.
