The forecast for the Junction City area on Friday calls for snow, possibly anywhere from 3-6 inches.
Geary County Emergency Management Director Garry Berges stated it appears the snow will probably begin about 6 a.m. That’s based on the latest forecast and modeling from the National Weather Service. “Heaviest part is going to be between 9 and probably 2 or 3 o’clock in the afternoon. So people need to be careful going to work, while they’re at work or school and then be prepared for a slow trip going home.”
Berges did indicate it appears this will be mainly a snow event, without ice ahead of time.
