Mark Powers was elected chair of the Junction City / Geary County Economic Development Commission for the coming year Thursday during the EDC committee meeting at the Chamber of Commerce offices. Powers also serve as chair of the Board of Directors for the Chamber.

Pat Landes was elected vice chair of the EDC committee. Landes also serves as the mayor of Junction City.
