A USD 475 nominee for Kansas Teacher of the Year, Jennifer Brown spoke to a Joint Committee on Education in the Kansas Legislature Tuesday afternoon.

Brown was the secondary classroom teacher of the year nominee from USD 475 and became one of eight finalists for the 2019 Kansas Teacher of the Year. The finalists agreed to work together to advocate for education and teaching.

Brown teaches at Sheridan Elementary School in Junction City.
