A GoFundMe.com account has been started to help support Geary County Sheriff Tony Wolf with legal fees.
Wolf was recently arrested by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation on suspicion of Felony Theft and a misdemeanor count of Misuse of Public Funds.
According to former Geary County Jail Captain Jim Parker, Wolf has served the county for more than 20 years, not just in law enforcement but as a friend. Now he is a friend in need. Parker says his friends stand behind him and believe he will be vindicated, but in order for that to happen Wolf will have to defend himself. They have started a fundraiser to help with legal fees.
In a social media release submitted to JCPost.com, Parker wrote, “Yes, Tony made a mistake. But that is and has always been, trusting the wrong people. The real truth will come out. But it has to go through the process for that to happen.
You can make an anonymous donation.
All donations will be used to assist Wolf with ongoing legal expenses. Any donations not used will be returned to the donor or given to local charities.
