The Dorothy Bramlage Public Library sponsored Touch a Truck is Saturday at the parking lot adjacent to Gordmans at 437 East Chestnut Street. It will run from 10 a.m. until noon.
The purpose of the event is to highlight the Library’s sizable collection of books about machinery and careers involving things by youth having a hands-on experience. At past events children have enjoyed pretending to drive a school bus, trash compactor, a police car, and seeing a variety of service and work vehicles up close.
This is the 12th year for Touch a Truck in Junction City. There will be big trucks, tractors, fire engines, squad cars, army vehicles and more for children to look, touch and climb in.
