FEMA and the FCC were scheduled to send a TEST Wireless Emergency Alert message to nearly all wireless devices in the United States on this Thursday afternoon at 1:18 p.m. CST. It is called a Presidential Alert.
But the Geary County Emergency Management Office has been notified that the Test alert has been postponed until 1:18p.m. CST on October 3. The postponement is due to severe weather across much of the East Coast and ongoing response efforts.
