Riley County Emergency Management Director Pat Collins has reported that eight inches of rain have been received in different locations in that county.
Evacuation of residents in Keats has begun. They’re being asked to go to Keats Community Church. There are also some evacuations along Wildcat Creek where there has been flooding in the past. The water level is about six inches from the Scenic Bridge along Wildcat Creek. Collins said a boat was sent to get some people out of one house in Keats that had five feet of water in it.
A new flash flood warning has been issued for south central Riley County and southern Geary County until 8:45 a.m.
