There were several people in attendance for the public hearing on the proposed Geary County budget Monday afternoon but there was not a lot of input.
According to Commission Chairman Charles Stimatze the Director of Pawnee Mental Health Services thanked the governing body for the increase they approved in mental health funding.
The proposed spending plan totals approximately $39.5 million, with a property tax levy that has been reduced by 1.545 mills. The Commission will consider final approval of the budget next Monday.
