There is still a vacancy for the Military Affairs Council Director position in the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Geary County Commission received an update this week on the process to seek a new director. Charles Stimatze, Commission Chair, explained the position was offered to a candidate but it was declined. “So now they’ve gone back to the drawing board, and now they’ve got three more candidates to look at.” The position has been vacant since the retirement of John Seitz.
The final authorization on the employment of a new director will come from Chamber of Commerce CEO Mickey Fornaro-Dean.
