Ottaway Amusements Carnival Setting Up for Sundown Salute

Setup began Wednesday for the Ottaway Amusement Carnival in downtown Junction City.

The manager for Ottaway Aumsements, Tim Henderson, said they were getting the show wired so everyone had power. Rides were being set up for the carnival, which is held as part of the Sundown Salute celebration in Junction City.

The Freak Out is one of the popular rides. “It’s just a big arm that swings and then you’re in a seat that rotates also. Pretty good ride, ” said Henderson/

There are typical carnival game booths, and he noted that there are three new food wagons. “These big half pound burgers, icies, cotton candy, all the good stuff over there. So make sure and visit those three big food wagons we got, brand new.”

The carnival opens Friday night and continues through July 4th.
