The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a chip seal project on K-177 Highway from the north city limits of Council Grove to the two lane/four lane transition just south of I-70.
During daylight hours traffic will be reduced to one 10-foot lane and controlled with a flagger and pilot car operation. Travelers can expect a delay of less than 15 minutes.
APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Divisiion of Hutchinson in the prime contractor for the project. They anticipate the work will be completed by July 13, weather permitting, at a cost of $691,658.74.
