It was meet and greet time for the Junction City Brigade summer collegiate baseball team at Rathert Field Wednesday evening. Head Coach Derek Francis and the members of the team were introduced to the public during an informal session where the fans also had an opportunity to visit and talk baseball.

Francis is a Manhattan native, and is also an assistant coach at Emporia State University.

The Brigade will open their 2018 season Thursday night in Topeka against the Golden Giants. The home opener is at 6 p.m. Sunday against the Kansas City Monarchs.
