JCPost.com has learned that there will be a change in leadership at Junction City Middle School.

We contacted Geary USD 475 Board of Education President Tom Brungardt who confirmed that a communication has been submitted to the parents of students that Luan Sparks is the person they should contact if there are questions about the situation.

Sparks has been serving as the Executive Director of Student Support Services for the school district. That position serves as a resource and support for special programs, as well as a liason for parent communications.

JCPost.com asked about City Middle School Principal Mary Wright but Brungardt would not discuss her status because it is a personnel matter.

A family member did confirm Wright has been placed on administrative leave.
