The Junction City Lady Jays finished second out of eleven teams in the Haysville Campus Invitational. Junction City scored 183 points, just seven less than Newton with 190.
Highlights for the Lady Jays included a first place finish by Hannah Reynolds in the discus with a throw of 118 feet. Savannah Adams finished third with a throw of 104’2.” Sherrie Jones won the shot put with a throw of 39’7.” Ayi-lissa Dotson was first in the high jump with a leap of 5’4″ and Nyla Blagrove second at 4’10.”
Kienna Newman won the 100 meter hurdles in 15.05 and finished second in the 300 meter hurdles in 46.03. Lyric Holman finished third in the 100 meters in 12.69. Michelle Sanchez was first in the 1600 meters in 5:31.72 and second in the 800 meters in 2:30.42.
The Blue Jay boys scored 66 points to finish fifth out of 11 teams. Haysville Campus won the team title with 103 points.
