The Junction City Lady Jays scored 122 points to finish second out of 11 teams and the Blue Jay boys 57 points to finish fourth out of 12 teams in the Maize Invitational track meet on Thursday.

For the Lady Jays Hannah Reynolds finished second in the discus with a throw of 114’2″ and Savannah Adams fifth with a throw of 93’11.” In  the shotput Adams finished fifth at 35’5″ while Reynolds was sixth at 35’2.”

Keiana Newman won the 300 meter hurdles in 48.08 and the 100 meter hurdles in 15.42. Lyric Holman won the 200 meters in 26.37 and the 100 meter dash in 12.37. Tiara Smith finished fourth in the 200 meters in 27.43.

For the Blue Jay boys Juan Tovar finished fourth in the 3200 meters in 10:36.64 and fourth in the 800 meters in 2:06.47. Javontez Brime captured fifth in the 110 meter hurdles in 15.89 and sixth in the 300 meter hurdles in 43.32 while Jamarcus Plato was second in the 300 meter hurdles in 41.41. Ian Sanchez finished fourth in the 200 meters in 23.43, Lucio Norris sixth in the 400 meters in 59.86 and Allen Romero eighth in the 400 meters 53.57
