Coach Braden, “It was a cool Thursday for the return of the Wakefield Invitational track meet. Inspite of the weather, we had several good performances by our athletes. Seniors Justin Carver and Sammy Finnegan began their last track and field season with great finishes in the 100 and 200 meter dashes and both 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 meter relays. Sophomore Dalton Murry and freshman Kelly Flickenger picked up where they left off from last fall’s cross country season with solid runs in the 800, 4 x 800 relay, and 3200 meter runs.”
Wakefield’s next meet will be Friday April 6th when the Bombers will travel to Bennington for their Invitational Track Meet.
