1st District Congressman Roger Marshall indicated Monday morning in Junction City that he planned to stop later in the day at the Secretary of State’s Office in Topeka where he would file for reelection.
Junction City is included in the district represented by Marshall.
“Roger Marshall said he thought this election was about “promises kept. We made some promises, we made some goals, we started off by saying we wanted to make sure that our country had greater national security. And I think there’s not an American that doesn’t feel safer today than a year ago. He pointed to a reduction in size of ISIS, and a stronger NATO organization as part of that assessment.
On the economy Marshall noted they wanted to make the economy stronger, and this is the best economy he had seen in his professional lifetime.
And Marshall said he wanted to get on the House Agriculture Committee and write a strong Farm Bill. ” I got on the Ag Committee. We’re going to see the text of the Farm Bill this week done on time, ahead of schedule, and we’ve had an enormous voice on this Farm Bill.
Marshall will be seeking a second two-year term in Congress.
