The Junction City Lady Jays have captured the Centennial League Bowling championship.
The Blue Jay boys finished third out of ten teams in the League Tournament in Manhattan on Wednesday.
JCHS Coach Brad Adams said the Lady jays bowled about 70 pins over average. “Once again some of those other teams that were right next to us, Washburn Rural, they shot a little bit less because the pattern was a little more difficult. The girls did an awesome job today. I couldn’t say anything better.”
For the Blue Jay boys they hadn’t expected to finish as high as third. I guess if you went by averages we were sitting in around that fifth hole. “Our boys bowled average today and everybody else kind of fell off.”
For the boys Tyler Gromlovits finished second in the individual competition, while for the Lady Jays Chloe Lovell captured second place and Taylar Smith finished fourth.
