Three new members of the Junction Commission will take their oaths of office Monday evening. The city commission meets at 5:30 p.m. at the City building at 701 North Jefferson.

Tim Brown, Jeff Underhill and Nicholas Allbritton will take their oaths and begin their terms on the city commission. They were elected by voters in November. The new commissioners will follow three outgoing commissioners who chose not to seek reelection, Mick McCallister, Jim Sands and Mike Ryan.

During the commission meeting Monday evening a mayor and vice mayor will be elected for the coming year. Commissioners will also be appointed to various public boards and committees.

The Geary County Commission conducts their annual reorganization on Monday. A chairman and vice chairman will be elected for the coming year. That is scheduled just after one p.m. Monday.

The Geary USD 475 Board of Education will elect a new vice president during their meeting on Monday at the Devin Center. That meeting begins at 5 p.m.
