Three members of the Geary USD 475 Board of Education were honored this past week for their service on the school board.

William Brooks, who has been a member of the BOE since February, has served to fill an unexpired term on the Board that was created when former member Kim Milleson relocated to another community in Florida. Carolyn Gaston and Brian Field did not seek reelection. Gaston has served on the Board for more than nine years, while Field is finishing up his fourth year on the BOE. All three will step down from the Board in early January.

USD 475 ConnectED reported that Gaston, Field and Brooks were each presented with a gavel that commemorated the time that they devoted to Geary County Schools.
