JUNCTION CITY, KAN. – Junction City High School’s 2017 girl’s track and field season is now associated with one more accomplishment after Coach Randall Zimmerman was named the 6A Girls Coach of the Year for the 2017 Track and Field season.
This honor was announced by the Kansas Cross-Country and Track & Field Coaches Association on June 15, 2017, in a letter to JCHS Principal Melissa Sharp and Athletic Director Matt Westerhaus. This follows a State-winning girls track and field season.
Coach Zimmerman was selected from a group of coaches from the 6A classification throughout Kansas this year.
Each year the Kansas Cross-Country and Track & Field Coaches Association selects a boys and a girls coach who deserve recognition for their outstanding work in youth athletics.
