JUNCTION CITY, KAN. – Junction City High School (JCHS) has selected Nick Perez as the new Blue Jay boys basketball Head Coach, pending Board of Education approval.

Perez served as the varsity assistant on the Blue Jay basketball staff during the 2016-2017 school year. He has over ten years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate level.

Perez received his undergraduate degree in Physical Education from Fort Hays State University and has a Master’s Degree in Health and Human Performance from Pittsburg State University.

Perez said that he is excited and humbled to be the boys basketball Head Coach; he will also work as a physical education teacher at JCHS.

“Junction City has a proud history of basketball and I am looking forward to building upon that pride and success,” said Perez.
