The Blue Jay tennis team held their Junction City Varsity Tennis Invitational this past Saturday at the Junction City High School tennis courts.
In the five team round robin format the Blue Jay tennis team finished third, winning the bronze medal in every division. Leading the charge at the #2 singles position was Adonnis Washington, who went 3-1 on the day. Jordan Bailey went 2-2 at the #1 singles spot, Guido Greco and Mason Richards teamed up to go 2-2 at #1 doubles and Korbin King and Yuno Fernandez went 2-2 at the #2 doubles spot.
Final team scores were Abilene 11 points, Manhattan 10, Junction City 9, Lawrence Free State 6 and Topeka High 4 points. The Blue Jay tennis team next travels to the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka on Monday for the Topeka High Invite. Matches start at 9 am.
