Home Going Services for SFC (Ret.) Nolan Self, one of the last two remaining Buffalo Soldiers in the State of Kansas, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at the C.L. Hoover Opera House, 135 W. 7th Street Junction City. Pastor Viola Jones will officiate.

A Private family burial with full military honors will follow the services at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions have been designated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington Street.

Mrs. Dorothy M. Shephard-Warren, III, 59, of Junction City, passed away on September 14, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital Kansas City, MO with her husband and sons by her side.

Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, 203 N. Washington Street with Funeral services to follow at 11 a.m.  Reverend Redo Purnell will officiate and cremation will follow the services.
