
The Geary Community Hospital Auxiliary has received the Gold Award of Excellence from the Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas.
The award was presented at the 2016 Kansas Hospital Association Convention in Overland Park.
This is the state’s highest honor for hospital auxiliaries that have demonstrated service and commitment to their hospitals and communities. To attain the distinction, requirements include community involvement along with employee and physician relations. “Our Auxiliary group is an integral part of our hospital and we are very thankful to have such a hard working volunteer team, “said Joe Stratton, Chief Executive Officer of Geary Community Hospital.

Also, Mike Humes, GCH Facilities Department,graduated from the 2016 KHA Leadership Institute. He was one of 32 classmates from across Kansas who participated in several two-day leadership courses over a three-month time span. Institute subjects ranged from conflict resolution to team building, strategic communication and general principles of leadership.
