“Keep calm and put your green dress on,” that’s the message from Traci Scott, Director of The Green Dress Project.
The workshop, which will be held on Saturday, September 24th is a fun, informative way for women to get all the tools they need to successfully transition in to the workforce.
“When you come out of the program…you will have four areas where you should be confident,” said Scott.
The four areas highlighted in the program are:
- Developing Values: character, integrity, honesty
- Developing the Green Dress: appropriate work attire; “Dress for Success”
- Developing Soft Skills: first impressions, strong first handshake
- Developing a Financial Plan: Jodi Kaus from K-State guest speaker
The Green Dress Project Workshop is on Saturday, September 24th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the C.L. Hoover Opera House in Junction City.
Lunch will be served during the event and everyone attending is asked to bring their favorite fashion magazine for some fun and games.
T-shirts and Dillard’s gift cards will also be given away during the program, and for those that arrive on time at 10:00 am a special surprise is in store.
The event is free and open to not only young ladies entering the workforce for the first time, but anyone interested in strengthening their workplace skills.
