The 107th Chapman Labor Day Celebration is set for September 3-5.

The theme this year is “There’s No Place Like Home. Donna Relihan will serve as Grand Marshall.
The activities on the third will include an American Legion Street Dance at 8 p.m. at Third and Marshall. The band “Mended Wings” will perform.
On the fourth there is the Lions Club 4-Man Scramble golf tournament at Indians Hills Golf Course. There are shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Also on the fourth are the Slow Pitch Legion softball tournament at the Beemer Complex, the street dance downtown from 7-10 p.m. featuring ‘Larry Biggs & the Cadillac Cowboys, and at 9 p.m. a fireworks display downtown.
There is a full day of activities on Monday, Labor Day ( Sept. 5 ). They begin with a pancakes & sausage feed from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the American Legion, a fun run / walk at 7 a.m., a 5K run / walk at 8 a.m., and a free kids run at 9 a.m. all at the Chapman High School football field.
Other activities during the day on Monday include a car show, tractor show, quilt show, barn quilt self guided tours, a pedal pull, the annual toy show at the Chapman High School multipurpose room, playground inflatables, bark in the park, a coin dig in the sand for kids, hamburger feed at the American Legion, and the annual parade. The parade begins at 2 p.m. Participants will assemble floats at the Beemer Ball Complex at 1:15.
