The Geary County Sheriff’s Department has reported that Deputies responded to US 77 and mile marker 168 for a single vehicle accident on Friday.

Todd Collette, Wamego, was northbound on US 77 when he swerved to miss a deer, causing him to lose control of his 2004 Pontiac passenger vehicle and slid off the roadway, causing minor damage. There were no injuries reported.

In a second case Friday Deputies responded to 8300 Old Stage Road for a single vehicle accident. Karina Grestly was southbound on Old Stage Road in her Chrysler passenger vehicle when she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch. No injuries were reported.
