Cool Breezy Day Forecast on Friday

Cool and breezy conditions are expected today with highs only reaching into the 50s, according to the National Weather Service of Topeka.   Could see a few sprinkles this afternoon across northeastern KS. As a result, areas of frost will be possible across much of the area, which could damage sensitive vegetation.  It is shaping up to be a lovely spring weekend with temperatures warming into the 70s by Sunday with plenty of sunshine. The combination of dry conditions and gusty winds will cause elevated fire danger concerns for Sunday afternoon.

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 30s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the evening.

Saturday: Not as cool. Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.

Saturday Night: Clear. Lows in the upper 30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the south after midnight.

Sunday: Warmer…sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s.

Monday: Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
