The former lead singer of the metal band, Poison, will be one of the headliners for this years Sundown Salute July 4th Celebration in Junction City.

Sharon Glessner, Sundown Salute Executive Director announced Thursday that Bret Michaels will headline on Sunday, July 3rd.

“We thought people would be more apt to come out and hang out, and enjoy the concert more without having to go to work the next day, as opposed to July 4th when everyone has to go to work the next day on Tuesday,” explained Glessner.

This will be Michaels’ first performance at Sundown Salute.

The headliner for July 4th will be Hells Bells, The Tribute to ACDC. They last headlined the July 4th celebration in 2014.

No other headliners were announced.
