The Junction City Middle School wrestling team won the Centennial League tournament in Emporia on Saturday.

In a record performance for City Middle School, all wrestlers took home a metal. Every member of the team placed.

Finishing first in their weight classes were: Darrin Battiste, Albert Caba, C. J. Neuman, Jesse Newson, Ricky Reynolds, and Sadiki Smith.

Placing second were: Jalen Gill and Zane Thornton.

Finishing third were Cameron Beasley, Blayne Danford, Alex DeGuzman, Charlie Drake, James Hancock, and Blake Smith.

Placing fourth were Colten Drake and Freddy Panapa.

Junction City Middle School finished first with 263 points. Anthony Middle School of Manhattan was second with 193.5, and Seaman Middle School third with 162.5. Fort Riley Middle School finished fifth out of eight teams with 140 points.
