The annual Leaders Retreat hosted by the Chambers of Commerce from Junction City, Manhattan, and Wamego will be January 22nd and 23rd in Overland Park.

The retreat allows members of the three chambers to come together and focus on regionalism, and that has Junction City’s new CEO of the Chamber of Commerce excited.

“I love regionalism, I think it’s a great plan. I think you have to work together these days to really spotlight your region,” said Dennis Beson, Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce CEO.

“Anytime I can go and meet different people from the area, who we have quite a few members that are not just in Junction City, but are both in Wamego and Manhattan. Anytime I get to spend to communicate with them, networking, trying to build that relationship is beneficial.”

The agenda for the retreat is still being finalized but one topic that Beson believes they’ll focus on is the development of a strong workforce.
