RILEY COUNTY – Two people were injured in an accident just after 8a.m. on Saturday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Honda Civic driven by Salvador Munoz-Solis, 48, Topeka, was eastbound on Kansas 18 seven miles west of Manhattan.
The Honda skidded on the icy roadway. The driver lost control and the Honda hit a 2014 Ford Explorer that was legally parked on the shoulder of the roadway.
Munoz-Solis and a passenger in the Honda Abigail Julie Billings, 21, Junction City, were transported to the hospital in Manhattan.
Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
