MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) – Barry Brown scored 18 points, three teammates finished in double figures, and Kansas State rallied to beat South Dakota 93-72 on Friday night.
Stephen Hurt, Dean Wade and Justin Edwards each scored 15 for Kansas State (3-0) and Kamau Stokes contributed five assists.
South Dakota (1-3) led 42-39 at halftime, the first time this season the Wildcats were down at the break.
Kansas State (3-0) trailed 49-47 with 17:54 left before Justin Edwards hit two free throws to make it 51-49. Edwards’ points were part of a 23-9 run that gave Kansas State enough distance to close out the game.
Brown scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half.
McClelland scored 20 points for South Dakota (1-3) and Dan Jech added 13.
