The Old Fashioned Hometown Christmas sponsored by the Chapman EDC is Friday, November 27th.

It will begin with beef stew and cornbread from 5-7 p.m. that evening.

The Christmas lights will be turned on at 6 p.m. in downtown Chapman.  Bob Diehl with the EDC explained from 5-6:45 p.m. you can register for Chapman Bucks at local Chapman businesses. He said about 25 businesses in the Chapman area provide some funding.  They try to give away about $1,000 in cash plus $500 in gift certificates that night during a drawing at the Senior Citizens Center.

Santa Claus is scheduled to arrive by fire truck at 7 p.m. on Marshall Street in the downtown area.
