Geary USD 475 teachers are scheduled to vote early this week on proposed 2015-16 teaching contracts.
Contract talks have been at impasse for some time, but negotiators recently reached a tentative agreement. According to Junction City Education Association President Cathy Rankin the votes will be counted on Wednesday.
If the teachers vote to ratify the contract, the Geary USD 475 Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Devin Center to consider final ratification of the contracts.
During the impasse teachers in the district have been working under the contract that was in effect for the 2014-15 school year.
