The Walmart Neighborhood Market opens for business at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The 41,000 square foot building has been under construction since March at 1723 McFarland Road on the west side of Junction City.
Patrick Carrell, Store Manager, said the final merchandise was being stocked Tuesday afternoon. A number of employees have been hired to work at the new outlet. “We’ve hired up to 100 associates so we have a lot of energetic associates ready to go.”
Grocery items are a key focus for the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
