Delbert Charles (Bud) Lonsinger

Delbert Charles (Bud) Lonsinger, 94, of Osborne, Kansas, formerly of Wamego, passed away May 9, 2019 at the Medicalodges Care Home in Kinsley. Bud was a long-time resident of Pottawatomie County.

Bud was born December 29, 1924, in rural Wamego, Kansas, the oldest son of Louis and Bessie (Snodgrass) Lonsinger.

Bud was a farmer in Pottawatomie and Wabausee counties.  He also worked as a plumber and carpenter.  Bud was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and playing pool.  He liked to watch the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Kansas State Wildcats.  He moved to Osborne in 2015.

Bud is survived by daughters Joann (David) Millett, Lawrence and Teresa (Guy) Behee, Offerle; grandsons, Dustin (Gina) Behee, Olathe; Jarod (Alysia) Cook, Silver Lake and Branden (Macey) Behee, Biloxi, MS;  great-grandchildren Dylan and Bryce Behee, Olathe, Kendra and Alekzander Cook, Silver Lake, Breckynn, Wyatt, Lily, and Easton Behee, Biloxi, MS.  Other survivors include brothers Harold Lonsinger, Alton, KS; Robert (Darlene) Lonsinger, Florence, OR; Lawrence (Carolyn) Lonsinger, Bakersfield, CA, Jack Lonsinger, Liberty, MO; Richard Ellis (Carolyn) Lonsinger, Osborne, KS; sisters, Judy Tipton, Bynum, TX; Anne Lichtenhan, Warrensburg, MO; Virginia Deatrick, Topeka, KS; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Bud was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald Lonsinger, and a sister Frances Palenske.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Wamego City Cemetery. Dr. David Myers will be officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm, prior to the service at Campanella-Evans Mortuary in Wamego and process from there to the cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice and be sent in care of the mortuary.  Online condolences may be made at www.campanellafuneral.com.
