The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reported that Deputies responded to three accidents over the period of  Saturday and Sunday. There were no injuries.

The first was reported at 1:06 p.m. Saturday involving a hit and run accident at 604 East Chestnut Street. Robert Flottemesch was driving his 2018 Nissan Murano  when a red in color jeep side swiped his vehicle and left the scene. No injuries were reported.

The second accident was reported at 3:22 p.m. Saturday on K-177 Highway near mile marker 93. A single vehicle accident occurred. Shirley Shimp was driving her 2013 Nissan Rogue when she left the roadway and ran off the roadway.

The third accident occurred at the intersection of 10th and Franklin. It was a two-vehicle accident. Gina Alvarez, Junction City, was driving her 2002 Honda Accord and entered the intersection striking a 2012 GMC Sierra driven by Lelio Johnson, Junction City.

Again…there were no injuries in any of the accidents.
