Sandra Lee Frank McQueary, 79, of Alma, Kansas, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at the Alma Manor.
Sandra was born September 9, 1939, in Washington D.C., the daughter of Richard and Dorothy Kraus Walker. She attended Alma High School.
Sandra worked for many years as a supervisor in the dental unit of Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company in Topeka. In her early years at Alma, she also worked at Dwight Alma Dairy in her later years she moved to Florida and worked in a dental office there. She returned to Eskridge in 2016.
Sandra married John Lee Frank on August 24, 1954, in Alma. He preceded her in death February 8, 1990. She then married Thomas McQueary on December 1, 1991, in Kansas City. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2018.
Sandra enjoyed walking, reading, word puzzles, video poker and trips to Las Vegas. She was very fond of her many dogs over the years. When she was younger, she and her husband John, enjoyed being members of the Fair Barn Dance Club in Alma.
Sandra is survived by her children; Richard Frank (Theresa), Galena, Suzette Stockman, Kansas City, Tami Bagley (Ron), Eskridge, Doug Frank (Rebecca), Eskridge and Felicia Rush (David), Sachse, Texas; her sister, Tonya Worley (Barry), Topeka; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Michael Frank in 2011 and a grandson Christopher Frank in 2016.
Private family services and inurnment in Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery, will be held for Sandra at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to Earth Angel Rescue Services or Heartstrings Animal Advocates for animal rescue, and those may be sent in care of Campanella-Gentry Funeral Home.
