The JC Breakfast Optimist Club learned about a new program that is scheduled this fall at the C.L. Hoover Opera House.

The program is the After School Theater Repertory Actors progam that is being piloted with Junction City Middle School. The program will begin September 11 and end with a play production on December 8. The purpose is to teach life skills ranging from communication and teamwork to to social skills and creativity.

There will be 25-30 slots for Junction City Middle School students at a cost of $100 for the entire term. Scholarships are available. The program is co-sponsored by USD 475 and R2B4 Bramlage Foundation.

The Club was updated on the program during their weekly meeting in Junction City.
